The philosophy of ācārya madhva is popularly called dvaita.
But ācārya madhva called his philosophy as tatvavāda. The term dvaita was a later addition to the lingo, seemingly as an opposite of advaita. But it is not a correct term. dvaita in sanskrit has a negative secondary meaning, to mean falsehood or deception (misleading). It is more akin to the term fork-tongued, which means someone who says one thing and means something else. The term dvaita was meant to be derogatory and a (bad) pun. Unfortunately, this innocuous sounding term has taken a strong hold as the default name of a beautiful philosophy.
This website is an earnest attempt to present the philosophy of tatvavāda. The followers of this philosophy are called tatvavādins. The website name, which uses the country extension .in, as a play on the term, tatvavād.in.
